What convinced you to go through the LASIK/LASEK surgery? And what reasons and why did you choose Dream Eye Clinic?
I had been wearing glasses since I was 11 and contacts since 17 and wanted to get away from the daily chore of putting something in my eye in order to see. I had heard about the LASIK/LASEK procedure through two friends. They were excited with the results and I had saved up enough money to think about having it done, so I went in for a screening and a battery of eye tests. I could get an updated checkup and find out a lot more about my eyes. I went to Dream Eye Clinic for the professional service and relaxing environment.
Tell us about what has changed since you had your LASIK / LASEK surgery.
What are the major changes comparing your life before and after the surgery?
What has changed!?! The very next day after my surgery and subsequent check up, I was standing in the mid-morning sun calling home to tell my family how I could read road signs from across the street with my naked eye for the first time in 23 years. I can sleep and wake up without messing with my eyes, putting something in or taking something out. The simple things are easier to enjoy nowadays. My eyes are actually less sensitive to light than they had been with glasses or contacts. My peripheral vision is better than it was before. The comfort of being free of something in my eyes makes me laugh with delight.
Were there any inconveniences during the recovery process?
And tell us about how satisfied you are with your newly improved vision. ?
Aside from the slight headache (which went away by the next morning) and having to wear the clumsy eye protectors while sleeping, there were zero surprises and few other inconveniences. Sure, my eyes were sensitive to bright light but what could a person expect after eye surgery? I take care of my eyes and wake up every day with a smile on my face. I’m not one to take life and health for granted so I’m thankful for my new clearer vision.
What were the most valuable and memorable experiences at Dream Eye Clinic?<
At Dream Eye Clinic, everyone is involved in the care of my eyes and restoration of my vision without the aid of glasses or contacts. From the moment I walked in to the office, the assistants, optometrists, and ophthalmologists treated me with kindness and respect. They were easy to talk to and they helped me every step of the way. I mean that’s their job but they did it knowing how important it is for the patient to relax. I wasn’t lost in the shuffle.
Finally, what else do you want to tell us (our medical staffs, doctors, and nurses)? (Anything is OK including some of your wishes, advice, or concerns that may help us improve ourselves, our service.) ? Thank you Dream Eye Care. Thank you for taking each step of my eye care seriously. You explained each step of the procedure. That is really important to me. The nurses were kind. You checked and double-checked my eyes to ensure the measurements were correct. Perhaps, even more importantly, during the operation someone was always there talking to me about what to do and what to expect. It really relaxed me and even helped me recuperate so much faster. The check-ups and service were informative. This is important so I know what is really happening. It helps me believe in you more. Thank you.
