I had wanted to get LASIK or M- LASEK for a while. All of the terms, descript ions, and self-diagnosis guides were utterly confusing. I wanted to improve my eyesight and have the freedom from contacts and glasses.
I would think about it and debate the pros and cons of investing the money and recovery time, but ultimately kept postponing the procedure due to the fear of complications and bad results. I shopped around a few clinics and websites for LASIK and didn't find any of them to have that 'awe factor' that I was looking for. They either didn't have a helpful staff, or I was a bit turned-off by the actual clinic buildings and doctors. That's when a friend suggested I visit Dream Eye Clinic in Gangnam.
Upon my initial consultation I found the staff to be [very] efficient and helpful. They even e-mailed me back within minutes of my inquiry via their website! Amazing! On the day of my pre-surgery checkup I was relieved to walk up to an established looking building in an upscale neighborhood in Seoul, unlike others I had visited. On that day I met some very helpful people that would help guide me during my surgery and recovery period. Mr. Choo and Dr. Lee are both very professional, helpful, communicative, and friendly. I cannot thank them enough, thank you! Their office staff is just as helpful, communicative, and friendly. I didn't even have to answer any questions since they answered all of them during the checkup and initial consultation.
During my consultation they suggested that I get M-LASEK instead of LASIK and LASEK. To be honest, I didn't really know what the difference was so I was a bit skeptical. I went home and did my research after talking to some friends who've had LASIK. As it turns out, M-LASEK really is the best way to go if you are a suitable candidate. The more research I did about the procedure the more excited I got. The thought of being able to see in the middle of the night and not stumbling to the bathroom in the dark was more than I could handle.
On the day of the actual surgery I felt very comfortable and informed about my decision to go with Dream Eye Center. From the check-in to the post-surgery care I have felt cared for by the staff and doctors. They are always there for you if you do have any questions or problems. This gives me the peace of mind I was lacking during my initial clinic shopping.
The procedure was exactly as they described it; generally pain-free, fast, precise, and effective. I could literally see a big difference the first day. With every checkup I can tell that my eyes are improving and that I made the right choice to go with Dream Eye Center in Gangnam. I have never once regretted my choice.
If you are considering getting LASIK, LASEK, or M-LASEK while you are in Korea I highly recommend that you look into Dream Eye Center. You will not be disappointed in any way. Dream Eye Center definitely leads the pack when it comes to service, quality, care, and professionalism. I will be sure to share my positive experience with everyone interested in improving his or her eyesight and quality of life.
Dream Eye Center really is the new standard in modern surgery.
